ABRIDGED 0 – 73: STEPHANIE GAUMOND – STUTTER SHIMMY SHUTTER

Stutter Shimmy Shutter is an online exhibition through Abridged Online – a poetry & art magazine.

Stutter Shimmy Shutter uses visual notations that have been devised to instruct physical and corporeal experiences to explore the possibility that exists between the notation and the user.

These notations contain coded instructions of how to play music, perform a dance, make sound, create an object. Like maps, they guide us but do not exist when we arrive at our destination. The alchemy and the humanity lies in the connection.

The ongoing series of screen printed kinetic diagrams currently features 14 patterns in editions of 20 for a total of 280 prints. Each is printed on Hahnemühle 310gsm paper and measures 28.5 x 17.5 cm.
